Firstly, thank you very much for pledging your support to my project, it is greatly appreciated. By way of an update, let me tell how I am promoting the “kickstarter” in order to give it the best chance of being fully funded.

As well as sharing the project page with my friends and various Irish speaking societies in the area through the power of Facebook/Twitter and word of mouth, I have also contacted some news outlets with the goal of getting the word out.

The first is an Irish radio show on Raidio na Gaeltachta called “Ard Tráthnóna”. I have heard back, and Máirtín Tom Sheáinín wants me to speak with him on the show about the project this week.

The second outlet is the Irish Emigrant newspaper (http://www.irishcentral.com). I will be writing an article briefly describing the project and it will be published in early November (hopefully catching the attention of the non-kickstarter savvy people).

In regard to the project work itself, things are in good shape so far. I had a meeting with the illustrator this week and we are very close to the finished article. I have also been working diligently on the accompanying notes that will be included in the book. These are pretty much ready to go (Irish and English versions), so once I am happy with the visuals, it will hopefully be a matter of pulling it all together.
